Assessing Risk / Lethality & Safety Planning 101 (Mar 26) – Virtual Workshop

Training Opportunity!

Battered Women’s Support Services (BWSS’s) Strategic Interventions is pleased to offer this workshop on Mar 26th for frontline workers in anti-violence and social service organizations.

Through this one-day training participants will learn to recognize, understand, and assess risk/lethality when working with survivors of violence.

Ambreen will help participants understand the context surrounding risk factors from an anti-oppressive, intersectional feminist, and harm reduction lens. Furthermore, participants will learn to create tailored safety plans for survivors based on the risk factors.

Learning Outcomes:

  •  Identifying and assessing risk/lethality when supporting survivors of violence
  • Understanding holistic Safety planning and creating tailored safety plans
  • Application of a trauma informed, anti-oppressive and intersectional feminist lens when conducting risk assessments/intakes
